Glitch Productions is a group of young content creators known for their flagship YouTube comedy series, SMG4, with over 2.5 million subscribers. While fans continued to love their youthful comedy series, Glitch Productions wanted to stretch their animation wings with more narratively driven stories. Meta Runner was their new show intended for a more mature audience. And to go with it, they needed to launch a brand new channel for the Glitch universe to live on.

The Surprising Yet Inevitable

If you want to launch a big entertainment property, the only way to do it is with a big premiere. 

We proposed launching Meta Runner’s new home with a feature length film cut of all Meta Runner episodes. The fanfare of the event would signal to all their new and existing fans that with the new channel, Glitch Productions is more than the memey image they’ve seen.

 

Execution

We went forward creating the feature length movie edit of Meta Runner season one. The premiere of the movie and the Glitch Productions channel was supported by a movie trailer and posters, as well as forays into new social media platforms for fan outreach. And reach fans we did. With 1.1 million views on the Meta Runner movie edit and hundreds of thousands of subscribers on the new channel, Glitch Productions is set for a whole new audience.
